TwinPare is built as a global platform for twins, triplets, multiples, families and people connected to twin life. This policy describes what information we collect, why we use it, how long we keep it and what rights you have.

3. Services covered
This policy covers TwinPare.com, TwinPare Health & Fitness, TwinPare Connect, TwinPare waitlists, beta programs, future TwinPare apps and related support, safety and administrative communications.
4. Information we collect
- Account information such as name, email address, authentication identifiers and profile settings.
- Profile information such as twin status, interests, app preferences, city or country if you choose to provide them.
- Waitlist and beta application details, including product interest, answers, timestamps and communication preferences.
- Technical data such as device type, browser, IP-derived approximate location, logs, diagnostics and security events.
- User-generated content such as profile text, app data, conversations, messages, support requests and uploaded files.
5. Health and activity data
TwinPare Health & Fitness may process activity, wellness and fitness information that you enter or choose to connect. This can include steps, workouts, active minutes, sleep-related metrics, recovery signals, body measurements, goals and challenge participation.
Health and activity data is used to provide app functionality, personal views, twin comparisons, challenge features, progress tracking and safety-related controls. We do not use this data to provide medical diagnosis or treatment.

TwinPare is not medical advice, not diagnosis and not a medical device. Health and fitness features are for general wellness and personal tracking only.
6. Apple HealthKit and Google Health Connect
If you connect Apple Health / HealthKit or Google Health Connect, TwinPare only requests data categories needed for the features you choose to use. Access is permission-based and can be changed or revoked in your device settings.
Data from Apple HealthKit or Google Health Connect is not sold, used for advertising or shared with data brokers. It is used to provide health and fitness features inside TwinPare, subject to your permissions and applicable platform rules.

- To create, authenticate and manage accounts.
- To operate TwinPare.com, apps, waitlists, beta programs, conversations and support.
- To personalize app experiences and product communications.
- To provide health, fitness, challenge and twin-comparison features where enabled.

8. Legal bases under GDPR
Where GDPR applies, we rely on contract performance to provide requested services, consent for optional communications and connected health permissions, legitimate interests for security and service improvement, and legal obligations where records must be retained.

10. Firebase, Google Cloud and third-party processors
TwinPare may use Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Storage, Google Cloud and related services to run authentication, app data, file storage, forms, security logging and backend processes. We may also use email, analytics, hosting, monitoring and support processors where needed to operate the services.
11. User-generated content and messages
Profiles, conversations, messages, reports, uploads and other user-generated content may be stored in Firebase services and reviewed when necessary for support, moderation, safety, legal compliance or abuse prevention.
12. Data sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers, where you direct us to share it, where required for safety or legal reasons, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
13. International transfers
Some processors may process data outside Sweden or the European Economic Area. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent transfer mechanisms.
14. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including account operation, safety, legal compliance, dispute handling and backup integrity. Retention periods vary by data type and service.
15. Data export
You can request an export of your TwinPare account data by contacting privacy@twinpare.com. We may need to verify your identity before releasing data.
16. Account deletion
You can request deletion in the app or by contacting us. Deletion may remove your Firebase Auth account, Firestore profile and app data, Firebase Storage files, conversations, messages and app profile, subject to legally required retention. See Account Deletion.
17. GDPR rights
Where GDPR applies, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, port data and withdraw consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
18. Childrenβs privacy
TwinPare services are not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to create an online account without guardian consent. We do not knowingly collect data from children unlawfully.
19. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including controlled access, provider security features and monitoring. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
20. Changes
We may update this policy as TwinPare evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date on this page and, where appropriate, by additional notice.
